"Your memory is our keepsake, With which we'll never part. God has you in His keeping We have you in our hearts."

Loretta Ann (Repasky) Lewis, 69, of Canfield, passed away suddenly Tuesday, June 10, 2014.

She was born November 23, 1944 in Campbell, the daughter of Grace (Witkay) and Joseph T. Repasky, who preceded her in death.

Loretta Ann attended St. Elizabeth Grade School, graduated Ursuline High School in 1962 and received a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Youngstown University in 1966.

She remained proud of her Campbell roots. She is survived by her husband of more than 41 years, Howard F. Lewis, Jr. They lived in Boardman and finally settled in Canfield, where they raised their beautiful family, Stephanie K. Lewis of Pittsburgh, Melissa R. (Eric) Ide of Medina, and Christina M. (Kyle) Ziegler of Brecksville. Her grandchildren, Mia Grace and Jacob Eric Ide, will miss the shower of love from their "Grammie." She also leaves behind her sister, Lorraine Repasky, who lives in Pittsburgh.

A well-respected social worker in the Mahoning Valley, Loretta Ann was variously employed by the Mahoning County Welfare Department, General Relief & Children Services. Following a short break to raise her children, she served as a volunteer and then was employed by the Society for the Blind & Disabled, Goodwill Industries, AHEPA Housing, and Volunteers of America at Freedom Village Apartments. The Camp Fire Program, American Red Cross and other local organizations benefitted greatly from Loretta Ann's expertise in volunteer activities.

Although they were fortunate enough to have traveled the world, Loretta Ann and Howard opted to spend many vacations with their children at local favorites, including Cook Forest, Vermillion, Geneva on the Lake, Pittsburgh, New York City and Bethany Beach. Family was always first and the center of her life. She taught her children by example to be kind and to extend help to others, especially in their time of need.

Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
