Daughter of Florence and Carl Holmes. Thalia served in the United States Navy. In 1948 (12-4-1948) she married Ensign Don Richard Stephens. A Naval aviator, Ensign Stephens was killed in the Korean War, after which Thalia moved to Mentor Headlands, OH. In 1958, she married Robert "Bob" Barnes Cole. They moved to Circleville , where Bob owned and operated Cole Nursery. Thalia took an active role in the Circleville community. She was a volunteer for more than 25 yrs at the Berger Hospital.
