Vernon "Tony" Lister, 81, of Knoxville, died of renal failure Monday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Knoxville, with burial at Graceland Cemetery.
Mr. Lister was born in Page County and had lived in Knoxville since 1941. He retired after 33 years as payroll supervisor at the Veterans Medical Center in Knoxville and was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Among survivors are his wife, Leora; and a daughter, Judy Macleod of Hutchinson, Kan.
