Donald Gene Brenneman, age 80, La Cygne, Kansas passed away on Friday, June 13, 2014. He was born on February 23, 1934 at Pittsburg, Kansas the son of Homer Dewey and Grace Heitrink. He worked as a welder and machinist. He very much enjoyed fishing and gardening. Don married Ruby Holman on July 10, 1957 at Miami, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Karen Brenneman Coyan. He is survived by his wife Ruby, son David Brenneman and wife Marie, sisters, Francis Radley and Dorothy Nelson, two grandchildren, Daniel and Nicholas and one great grand daughter, Sophie Marie.

Funeral service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the Calvary Baptist Church, La Cygne, Kansas. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 PM Monday at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, La Cygne Chapel.
