She was born on July 08, 1960 in Crawfordville to the late Eugene Bates and Rosie Lee (Boone) Merritt.
Survivors include: husband, Andrew Tolbert of Warren; daughters, Taneushia of Manchester, CT, Andrea Christopher, son Varick Tolbert both of Pine Bluff; brothers W.C. Merritt, Willie Earl Merritt, sisters, Bobbie Brown, Martha Murray all of West Memphis, Earnestine Price of Grandview, KS, Dorothy Howard of Chicago, Ill. Carolyn Bates of Crawfordville, Shirley Webb of Memphis, Tenn., Bernice Marshall of Marion; 7 Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11a.m., Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Warren Cultural Center-Warren by Reverend Silas T. Warner. Burial will be at Marion Memorial-Marion by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff.
The body will lie in-state Thursday at 10:15 a.m. until service time.
Visitations will be at 4:30-7:00 p.m. with a Family Hour from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home.
