Swannanoa - Douglas Furman Wolfe, 63, of Swannanoa, passed away Friday, June 13,2014 at the J. F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center in Asheville.

Mr. Wolfe was born July 25,1950 in Asheville to Mr. Edgar Furman Wolfe Jr. and Mrs. Norma Hamrick Wolfe of Swannanoa.

After graduating from Charles D. Owen High School, he attended the University of New Orleans as well as the Fruitland Baptist Bible College. Mr. Wolfe served in the United States Air Force where he was an aircraft electrician. He was a Messianic Hebrew and devoted follower of the Messiah, enabling him to become a Messianic Rabbi, teacher, and leader.

A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Monday, June 16, 2014 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery Chapel.
