Pamela Ann Chanslor Rhodes, 64, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014 with her loving husband of 41 years and her family by her side.

Born in Lubbock, Texas on May 30, 1950 to Blake and June Chanslor, she was a natural gifted singer from the age of 5 years old singing in church. Following high school she attended and graduated from Loma Linda University where she continued singing and traveling with the Chamberlain Singers. She completed her Masters Degree in Education in 1988 and spent several years teaching 1st and 2nd grade.

She met the love of her life at a Camp Meeting Service and later married Jimmy Rhodes in Palm Springs, CA on June 10, 1973.

A very gifted and well known vocalist, Mrs. Rhodes has recorded 6 albums and 2 DVD's which won a Telly, and an Angel Award for her music. She can be heard and seen today on the Three Angels Broadcasting Network, Safe Television and the Hope Channel.

Most recently she completed her book, Windows of Faith, a compilation of uplifting stories from her childhood, teaching grade school, being married to the musically talented husband, Jimmy Rhodes, as well as life lessons from her own children.

Mrs. Rhodes is survived by her husband of 41 years, Jimmy Rhodes; her children, Deborah (Carlton) Vollberg, McDonald, TN, Jimmy (Katelyn) Rhodes and Rondi (Michael) Oswald of Ooltewah; two brothers, Carol Blake Chanslor, San Diego, CA and Ronald Lee (Laura) Chanslor, Albuquerque, New Mexico; five grandchildren, Caroline, Adam and Josh Vollberg, Blake and Olivia Oswald; two nieces and one nephew.


Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 14 at 4 PM at the Collegedale Community Church with Pastor Jerry Arnold, Pastor John Carter and Pastor Arnold Schnell officiating. A private family burial will be held at Collegedale Memorial Park.
