Cari was born on December 26, 1937 in Manila Philippines and passed away on June 4, 2014 after the recent recurrence of breast cancer. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Emiliano "Mel" Agustin, her sister Elisa and brother Plaridel. She is survived by her son Arnel (wife Melanie), son Ariel, grandchildren Alysa, Julia and Miranda, her siblings Regino, Encarnation, Aquelis, Estanislao, Fernando and Zoilo. She will be forever missed by her many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Cari was known and admired for her strength, dedication and genuineness. These traits were especially witnessed when she obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Centro Escolar University (Manila, 1962), provided 35 years of continuous service at the same dental office as a dental assistant, raised a family as a working mom and most recently, her courageous battle against the cancer. She was a role model for anyone who came in contact with her. Please join us as we remember and celebrate Cari's life. Viewing on Monday, June 16th from 4-8pm (Rosary at 6pm) at East Lawn Mortuary, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd, Elk Grove. Funeral service Tuesday, June 17th at 10am at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church. 8700 Bradshaw Rd, Elk Grove. Procession immediately following to St Mary's Cemetery, 6700 21st Ave, Sacramento.
