Denver Petty, 82, of LaHarpe died Monday Sept. 21 in the LaHarpe-Davier Health Care Center. He was born Nov. 4, 1909, in Bowling Green, Ky., the son of Clarence and Sally Kate Lothridge Petty. On May 11, 1930, he married Margie Thompson in Dallas City. He farmed and raised livestock for 47 years on his farm south of Lomax. He moved to LaHarpe in 1976. He was a member of the Disco United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Halie St. Clair, Ethel Quell and Irene Petty; fove brothers, John, Joseph, Walter, Garland and James Petty and one half sister Margaret Boone.
