Obituary:
Military funeral services for Leroy H. Howard, 66, of 179 Benefit St., Providence, were held yesterday at the chapel of Horace B. Knowles' Sons. The Rev. J. Richard Peck of Mathewson Street Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Howard, husband of Mrs. Marjorie (Leonard) Howard, died Friday at home. For eight years he was a salesman in the rug department of the Shepard Co. He last worked as a salesman in Waterbury, Conn.
Born in Jeffersonville, Ind., he came to Providence in 1934. He was a Navy veteran of World War I and a member of the Corporal Coyle American Legion Post in Waterbury.
Besides his wife, survivors are three sisters, Mrs. William DeWitt, Mrs. Zella Borneman and Mrs. Mary Gravatt, all of Elkhart, Ind.
