The remains of Second Lieutenant Robert L. CLARK, son of Mr. & Mrs.Lee CLARK of Shepherd and Hazel Park was killed in action July 25, 1944,arrived in Shepherd Wednesday, March 14th, 1951.Lieut. CLARK was born at Cedar, Michigan in Lenawee Co., on 5 Oct 1921.He graduated from the Hazel Park High School in 1939 and attended Albion College in 1940.On 15 March 1943 he enter the Army Air Corps and was shot down over Linz, Austria while flying his 13th mission. He was temporarily interred there by the Germans, but was later moved to the National Cemetery in Liege, Belgium.
Services were held at the Garber Funeral Home, Saturday March 17th,at 2 p.m., with Rev. Myron CLEMENT officiating. Interment was made in the Salt River Cemetery on the Raymond CLARK lot, under the auspices of the Joe ULSH Post. V. F. W.

Lieut. CLARK lived in Hemlock, Mt. Pleasant and Shepherd before moving to Hazel Park. He entered the service just one week before the death of his grandfather, Raymond CLARK (FAG# 131321837),a long time resident of Shepherd.
