Barbara Ann (McDowell) Stogsdill passed from this life on June 6, 2014. She was born on December 31, 1936 in Mesa, Arizona to James and Annie (McGuire) McDowell. She was married to Eldon Earl Stogsdill on June 14, 1957 in Mesa, Arizona.
Barbara worked in the cafeterias for the Boulder Valley School District starting in 1975, eventually becoming a manager at Columbine Elementary School. She retired in 1997.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and is survived by her children Stephen, Kenneth, Cheryl, Susan, and Andrea. She had 15 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Caroline, Janice and Debra, and her brothers Gary and John.
Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Boulder Stake Center located at 701 W. South Boulder Road, Louisville, Colorado on Monday June 16, 2014 at 10 AM. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. She will be interred with her husband at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted in her name at the Emergency Family Assistance Association at www.efaa.org, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Missionary Fund or Perpetual Education Fund.
