Ed Amos was a bluegrass banjo player who first played as a teenager in his father's band, the Buck Mountain Ramblers on radio WDBJ in Roanoke. He later recorded with the Bailey Brothers and Mac Wiseman. After his military service he moved to the West Coast where he was killed in an automobile accident.
