JoAnn Baynard McGuire, 80, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at the Brian Center of Hendersonville from the complications of Alzheimer's Disease.

A native of Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Mattie Collins Green.

She was preceded in death by husbands Don Baynard and Bob McGuire. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters Callie Talley, Max Green, Bea Bishop, Hazel Kilpatrick Newland, Everett Green, and Charles Byron Green.

Jo Ann was a homemaker and retired from Ecusta in 1995 after thirty years of service. She was an active and devoted member of Boylston Baptist Church where she served on many committees and enjoyed keeping the nursery.

Surviving are her three children: Keith Baynard of Albany, OR, Lynn Lewis and husband Skip of Baltimore, MD, and Tim Baynard of Pisgah Forest; grandson Austin Baynard, granddaughter Ceara Starks, both of Spartanburg, SC, and Aubree Baynard of Pisgah Forest; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Green of Easley, SC and Eula Gregory of Hendersonville; a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Boylston Baptist Church with the Rev. James Burress officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
