Margaret "Peggy" Welch, a long-time Las Vegas resident, passed away Nov. 20, 2013, at the age of 80. Peggy was born Feb. 28, 1933 in Missoula, Mont., to father Ralph G. Griswold and mother Agatha B. Haley. Peggy spent the majority of her life doing what she loved best; being a mom, a homemaker, and a volunteer. She volunteered her time at her children's schools, Home of the Good Shepherd, St. Rose De Lima Womens Auxiliary Group, and Childrens Service Guild. Most dear to her heart was the twenty plus years spent volunteering her time to help support the children at Child Haven. Peggy was preceded in death by her mother and father; her brothers, Ralph "Mickey" Griswold and Gerald "Jerry" Griswold; and her husband, Don Welch. She is survived by her son, Dan and daughter-in-law, Kim; son, Jamie; daughter, Miki and son-in-law, Jeff; two beloved grandchildren, Jake and Paige; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2300 Sunridge Heights Parkway, Henderson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Childrens Service Guild, in memory of Peggy Welch, P.O. Box 44309, Las Vegas, NV 89116.
