Died January 1st, 1985 in Indiana at 58 years old.

Opal Arliene Barber, of 26925 Dunn Road, died ----- Tuesday in her home of natural causes. She was employed with the South Bend Community School Corp. for 20 years, working at LaSalle High School. Born April 22, 1926 in South Bend, as Opal Arliene Good, she married Kenneth Barber, who died December 16th, 1982. Mrs. Barber is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Rice of Indianapolis and Patricia Barber of South Bend; a son, Craig of South Bend; a brother, Wellington Good of New Carlisle; and her mother, Audrey Good of South Bend.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Cremation will be at Michiana Crematory and interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Mrs. Barber was a member of the St. James Episcopal and the South Bend Secretaries Association. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph County Cancer Society."
