Nellie Kate was born on July 11, 1919 in Haskell County (Pleasant Valley) the daughter of Maude Free Derr and Preston Derr. She attended Mattson & Weinert schools where she graduated in 1926. She worked along side her husband Woody for many years in their school store. They later managed the Dairy Queen in Haskell together when it first opened.
Nellie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Haskell and was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She loved caring for her family, sewing, and baking.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Woodrow (Woody) Frazier of Haskell; one daughter, Joan Strickland of Haskell; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Her parents, one sister, and an infant son preceded her in death.
