Son of the late Arthur Wellington and Frances Kiene Chandler, he was survived by his wife of 47 years, Virginia Chandle; daughters, Kathy Hand (Ken), Susan Patterson (Marty) and Karin Brown (Eddie); five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Dennis Chandler (Sally); and an extended family of relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Vanessa Chandler. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Flowery Branch, GA, where a Funeral Mass was held on June 13, 2014.
