Edward Richard Brunken, 88, of Lancaster, died at Lancaster Regional Hospital, Lancaster on Thursday, January 19, 2006 following a brief illness.
He was born in Monroe, Nebraska, a son of the late Henry and Ollie Long Brunken. He was the husband of the late Hazel M. Rodgers Brunken who died October 2, 2004.
He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and worked as a mechanic for Brubaker Motors, Lancaster, for 42 years retiring in 1994. He enjoyed bowling, bingo, going on bus trips and attending bible
study.
Surviving are two sons, Edward H., husband of Carole Myers Brunken of Marietta and Ralph C., husband of Karen Rutt Brunken of Lancaster, and three daughters, Thelma J., wife of Lloyd Sensenig of New Holland, Karen D. Hainley of Ephrata, and Connie R., wife of Rick Schroeder of Ephrata, 13 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great Great Grandchildren, and a brother, Winfred Brunken of Genoa, NE.
