Mrs. E. S. Maupin Succumbs
Early Today at Age of 74
Mrs. E. S. Maupin, aged 74, one of the most prominent ladies of this city where she had made her home for the past 36 years, died at 1:40 o'clock this morning at the family residence at Twenty-ninth and Cherry Streets after a long illness. Mrs. Maupin had been a member of the Baptist Church for 63 years and was an active worker in the First Baptist Church of this city as long as her health permitted.
During her long residence in Pine Bluff Mrs. Maupin led a life of great usefulness and influence and was beloved by all who were intimately acquainted with her.
She is survived by her husband and three sons, George, Albert and E. T. Maupin, all of this city, and a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the First Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. John H. Moore, pastor of that church, assisted by the Rev. H. H. Spillyards, pastor of the Hazel Street Baptist Church.
The following pall bearers have been selected:
Active-A. L. Rafferty, J. P. Crawford, A. R. Baughmann, Felix Smither, L. J. McDaniel, W. L. Matthews, T. N. Harper and John W. Reap. Honorary-H. C. Fox, Will Fox, A. O. Edwards, U. W. Poss, J. W. Langford, Charles Haycock, Theo Wollerman and H. L. Atkinson.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock for Mrs. E. S. Maupin, aged 74 years, one of the best-known women of Pine Bluff, who died at the family residence, Twenty-ninth and Cherry Streets, after a long illness, at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday morning. Mrs. Maupin who was a worker in the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband and three sons, George, Albert, and E. T. Maupin, all of this city, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at the First Baptist Church by Dr. John H. Moore, pastor, assisted by Dr. H. H. Spillyards, pastor of the Hazel Street Baptist Church.
The following will act as pall bearers:
