Collier Lister Allen, age 71, died of natural causes on 15 September 1993 in Payson, Utah.

Born 10 April 1922 in Panguitch, Utah, the fifth child and first son of John Chancy and Sarah Lister Allen.

He married June Howard on November 10, 1944 in North Salt Lake; solemnized on August 16, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He and June are the parents of five children.

He was a loving husband and father.

Gardening was his specialty, along with horseback riding, camping, and traveling with friends. Much of this was enjoyed after his retirement following twenty-eight years as manager of Intermountain Tariff Bureau.

Collier always had a story to tell, if not on himself, then someone else. He had a special sense of humor and enjoyed life.

An active member of the LDS Church, served in many capacities, both stake and ward, as well as completing a church service mission with June, and continued this service until his death.

He is survived by his sweetheart, June; children and their spouses, Colleen (Dennis) Johnson, Issaquah, Washington; RaNae (Vern) Christensen, Raleigh, North Carolina; Mark (Susan) Allen, Draper; Sheri (Benjie) Winter, Lodi, California; and Bevan (Stacey) Allen, Taylorsville; sixteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sister, Vera (Elden) Singleton, Springville.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 20, 1993 at 12:00 p.m. in the Centerville Utah Stake Center, 950 North Main Street, Centerville, Utah. Friends may call on Sunday, September 19, 1993 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, and prior to the services at the church on Monday from 10:30-11:45 a.m.
