Connie Anita Freeman - Clere was born September 8, 1969 and passed away October 3, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. Connie was raised in Alford, FL. She worked for over 20 years for the State of Florida and attended Pilgrim Rest Church. Connie loved being outdoors. She enjoyed camping, fishing and observing wildlife. She always looked forward to her family vacations in Georgia and Tennessee. Connie was a wonderful friend to people and animals alike. She was by nature a nurturer; she loved to raise and take care of animals, especially her dog Brody.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Freeman, maternal grandparents, Ed and Mary Whitehead, paternal grandparents, Neal and Myrtle Freeman, and brother, Kenneth Murphy.
Connie is survived by her husband, Danny Clere, her mother and step-father, Margaret Whitehead Murphy and Hilton Murphy all of Alford, FL., her brother, Brian Freeman and wife Melanie of Ponce de Leon, FL, sisters, Bridgette Penley and husband Rick of Dothan, AL, and Sharon Murphy of Vernon, FL, brother-in-law, David Clere, nieces: Brianna Doolittle (Marcus), Ashlee Freeman (Kelby Willcox), Cortney Freeman, nephews: Matthew Freeman and Anthony Bush, along with numerous nieces and nephews in West Virginia.
Services for Connie will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 5, 2013 in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with the Revs. Donnie Peacock, Glynn Dunham, and Ellis Vickery officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. A time of remembrance for Connie will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
