Services for Alvin G. "Jinks" Davidson, 81, of Fredericksburg, who died March 11 in a Fredericksburg hospital, were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Schaetter Funeral Home in Fredericksburg.
Burial followed in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Born May 20, 1907, in Bynum, he married Juliette Porterfield
on Dec. 25, 1936, in Moody. She survives.,
Mr. Davidson was an accountant. He was a member of the
Lion's Club, where he was named Boss of the Year, and'
Sons of the American Revolution.
He served six years on the state accounting board and was a
charter member of Nimitz State Historical Park and a past president of the Billies Boosters, son, John Davidson of Austin; two daughters, Delia Ann Clark of Beeville and Kathy Kilian of Houston; five grandchildren; two sisters, Thelma Page of Dallas and Kate Davis of Tyler
