Paul L. Sexton (87) of Trinity View in Arden, NC peacefully entered eternal life on Saturday, May 31, 2014. He was the son of the late Lula Gillespie and James Harrison Sexton. His spirit is carried on by his surviving daughter; Linda Cole of Sunset Beach, NC, two grandchildren; Charlotte Panko of Broomfield, CO; Garrick Cole of Charlotte, NC; four great grandchildren; Morgan and Sarah Panko; Emory and Mason Cole. Paul is also survived by six sibling; James and David of Asheville, NC and John Sexton of Concord, NC; Irene Crownover of Lewistown, PA; Pat Pafford of Memphis, TN; Linda Ashe of Charleston, SC and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and family too numerous to list but not forgotten. Paul is reunited with his wife, Dorothy Honeycutt Sexton whom he adored and had been married 59 years. He is preceded in death by his wife and son; Ronnie Sexton. He was a proud member of Fletcher First Baptist, of Fletcher, NC and Newfound Baptist Church of Leicester, NC. Paul was retired from Carolina Power & Light Co after 45 years of service as a Warehouse Manager. He was also a WWII veteran of the Navy. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 14, at Groce Funeral Home (Patton Avenue) from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. A full military burial will follow at Newfound Baptist Church Cemetery, Leicester, NC.
