Iris A. Morgan, 92, of Du Quoin, passed away at 4:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at the Fair Acres Rehab and Care Center in Du Quoin.
Iris had been a CNA at Fair Acres Nursing Home for thirteen years. She was a member of the Sunfield Baptist Church.
She was born March 13, 1922 at Centralia, IL, the daughter of Charles and Golda (Dever) McClanahan.
She married Clifford Morgan and he preceded her in death in 2000.
She is survived by one son - Clifford Morgan of Du Quoin, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter - Kay Nelson, one son - Gary Morgan, one daughter-in-law - Linda Morgan, three sisters, and four brothers.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 13, 2014 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Everett Freeman officiating.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 P.M., Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.
