U.S. Congressman. He attended the University of Wisconsin, then engaged in milling and in the lumber business. He was a member of the city council (1885-86), was on the Jackson County Board of Wisconsin, (1885-86) and secretary of the Jackson County Agricultural Society in 1885. In 1887, he was elected as a Republican to the Forty-ninth Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of his father, United States Representative William T. Price, serving January to March of that year. After his term, he resumed his former business pursuits and was a member of the Wisconsin State Senate in 1889. He moved to Silver City, New Mexico, in 1894, engaged in silver mining, then moved to Phoenix, Arizona and served as surveyor general of Arizona Territory for two years. Moving to Denver, Colorado, he lived in retirement until his death at age 45.
