On January 16, 1892 he married Beverley of Auckland, New Zealand where they resided for a while. They then returned to Alberta where Mark worked in the oil fields. Later he worked for the John Deere Implement Company, where he eventually transferred to the Fraser Valley.
Mark was a loving father to his four children.
On Monday November 11, 2013, he died suddenly at 58 from a heart attack. On Saturday November 16th, 2013 in Chilliwack, a service was held at the Salvation Army Church.
He was survived by his parents, 4 siblings, as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be missed dearly.
