He was born November 11, 1942 in New Albany, IN, to Frank L. Volpert and Mary Agnes Volpert (Mc Daniel).
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, 2 children, and 2 grandchildren.
Daniel is a graduate of Providence High School in New Albany, IN, Class of 1960. Daniel served four years in the United States Air Force and retired after 31 years of service from L & N and CSX Railroads.
According to his wishes, he has been cremated. Memorial visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany, IN. His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Albany with burial to follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in New Albany, IN.
