Graveside services were held Wednesday at the Ater Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Dyer officiating.
Mr. Lary was born June 20, 1935, at the home of his parents, Marvin and Irene Lary, in the Hay Valley community of Coryell County. He was a member of Hay Valley Baptist Church. He graduated from Jonesboro High School. He served two years in the U.S. Army, stationed in France. Upon an honorable discharge from the service, he moved to Midland, where he was employed in the maintenance department at Midland Memorial Hospital. He retired after 40 years of service at the hospital. On Jan. 6, 1966, he married Barbara Elmore.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Lary; a son, Jim Lary; one daughter, Jill Lary; one sister, Orene Donnell; two brothers, Travis Lary and Belvin Lary; and two grandchildren. (GM 2 Jan 2005)
