Deana Barger Smith, age 49, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 in Saline County, IL. Her husband, Darryl Glenn Smith, age 50, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, IN.

She was born February 19, 1963 to Donald and Bonnie (Hicks) Barger. She graduated from Pope County High School in 1981. On June 19, 2010, she married Darryl Smith. She was a very independent, kindhearted and fearless daughter, mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend. Deana loved all of her children and loved being a grandmother. She enjoyed doing anything outdoors but especially liked four-wheeler and motorcycle riding, hiking, and rock hunting.

Deana is survived by five children Justan Vaughn and fiancée Jamie Baldridge, Columbia, IL, Jessica Wiseman and husband Jimmy, Golconda, IL, Kirk Smith, Johnston City, IL, Cody Howle, Herrin, IL, DeAnn Breslavets and husband Sergey, St. Louis, MO; grandchildren Tristen Wiseman, Peyton Smith, Graci Smith, Paxton Breslavets, Reese Linn Howle; her parents Donald and Bonnie Barger, Golconda, IL; brother Rick (Marla) Barger, St. Helena, SC; two sisters Susanna (Phillip) Duncan, Brookport, IL, Gail (Duke) Lannom, Pittsburg, IL; mother-in-law Jewell Smith, Johnston City, IL; two brothers-in-law David Richard (Janet) Smith, Johnston City, IL, Stephen Michael (Joyce) Smith, Pittsburg, IL; four sisters-in-law Jenell (Charles) Brookhouse, West Frankfort, IL, Jan (William) Parks, Johnston City, IL, Geneva Walker, West Frankfort, IL, Gloria Tanner, Marion, IL; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
