Susan was the second oldest daughter of Robert and Jane O'Neill Gill. She retired from SNET and went on to work for HealthNet in Shelton. In addition to her husband, James, she was survived by their two loving daughters, Stacey Platt and her husband, Jimmy of Shelton and Julia Townsend and her fiance Jim Bazso of Milford; five grandchildren, James and Madeline Bazso and Jane, Ella and William Platt; four brothers, Robert Gill of Southbury, John Gill and his wife, Susan of Orange, Thomas Gill of Stratford, and David Gill and his wife, Chris of Stratford; four sisters, Maggie DiMartino of Stratford, Anne Nevers and her husband, Henry of Fairfield, Eileen Gill of Stratford and Kady Hovan and her husband, Christopher of Ansonia; and many nieces and nephews.
