Rebecca was born Riwke Litwak in Chernigov, Russia to Modukh (Max) Litwak and Ita-Leya (Esther) Babushkin. She lived in Dayton Ohio with her family until she moved to Detroit to marry her sweetheart Victor Fink on 9th of Feb 1920. They raised 4 children in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. She helped her husband with their grocery store and ice cream parlor on the corner of Church St. and Smith St.. They moved to Los Angeles during World War II, opened a store in Ocean Park where they lived for 6 or 7 years and returned back to Mt. Clemens. Went back to California one more time to Campbell, California for a very short time, and returned to Mt. Clemens.
