D'Amico, Donna Louise (nee Loch) Donna D'Amico, 89, died peacefully at her home in Aurora May 20, 2014. She was born December 9, 1924, in Albertville, WI, daughter of the late Helen (Olson) Loch and Allen A. Loch.
Donna is survived by her daughters, Antoinette Haynes and Nanette (Bill) Abbott; grandchildren, Holly (Carlo) Losurdo, Erin (Austin) Moore, and Nathan Abbott; great-grandchildren, Lorenzo Losurdo, Hannah Moore, and Kelsey Moore; nephews, John and Mark Forrest and their families.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Anthony Aiello D'Amico, and her sister, Geraldine M. Oehlerking.
Before moving to Aurora, Donna was a longtime resident of Leyden Township, IL, where she was known as Garage Sale Donna.
She was an expert picker and flea marketer, a creative and skilled doll maker, and a lover of all animals. Donna was a loving mother and wife, devoted to her family. She touched the lives of many with her kindness. Her dry wit and sassy demeanor will live on in generations to come.
The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora, where a time of sharing will take place from 4:00-5:00 p.m.
A service with military honors will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
