CRESWELL - The funeral will be held today, Jan. 24, for Larry Dale Keene of Creswell, who died Jan. 20 of heart failure. He was 54.
He was born July 12, 1951, in Cottage Grove to William and Betty Kinsland Keene. He married Dawn Whitlock in Cottage Grove on May 26, 1972. He was a lifelong resident of the local area.
Keene retired after serving in the Navy. He enjoyed baseball and other sports, classic rock music, classic cars and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his father of Oregon City; two daughters, Melanie Twite of Cottage Grove and Jessica Keene of Beaverton; a son, Rick of Drain; a brother, Mike of Aloha; and nine grandchildren. His wife died in 1980.
Today's graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. at Fir Grove Cemetery in Cottage Grove.
