Elaine Hanley Stephens, 80, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013 peacefully at her home with her family at her side. She was born in Gardiner, ME, on August 29, 1932, where she was raised and educated. Elaine is survived by her husband, Loyal Stephens of 55 years. She was beloved by her five children, Timothy, Steve (Tana), Jay, Christe (Bill), and her predeceased daughter, June; She is also survived by her brother, Peter Hanley of Randolph, ME; sister, Carolyn Coyne of Ellington, Conn.; Seven grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; many nieces, and nephews. Elaine was a longtime communicant of St. Matthew's Catholic Church of Jacksonville, FL. Elaine's Prayer Service will be held at 6:00pm, Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Hardage-Giddens Blanding Funeral Home, 5753 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, FL. 32244, followed by family visitation to greet friends until 8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 11:00am, St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 1773 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32210 with Father Jose Kulathinal officiating. Burial will follow to Jacksonville Memory Gardens Cemetery of Orange Park, Florida.
