Beulah Mae Smullen age 81 of Connersville passed away on Saturday June 7, 2014 at Hickory Creek of Connersville.

She was born March 19, 1933 in Owsley County, KY the daughter of the late Hillary Venable and Nettie Strong Venable. She has lived most of her life in Connersville and Florida.

Beulah attended the Church of Salvation.

She worked at Hills Roses, and at an area nursing home but most of her time was devoted to raising several foster children.

She is survived by two daughters, Ginger Smullen of Indianapolis and Kayla Smullen of Indianapolis. She is also survived by a brother Charles R. Venable of Connersville and sisters Mary Josephine Bell, Connersville; Eunice Day & Jim of Connersville; Lourita Abercrombie of Connersville; Wanda Faye Jackson of Connersville; Martha Kay Houlbert & Bill of Florida; and Bessie Johnson & Dick of Dayton. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a sister Flora Christine Mays.
