Mildred Remaly Sheets, 91, of Columbia City, Ind., passed away at 4:40 am Monday, June 2, 2014 at Miller's Merry Manor, Columbia City. Born on April 3, 1923 in Mulberry, she was the daughter of Joseph George and Orpha Ethel (Troxel) Miller.
She lived in Lafayette area much of her life including West Lafayette, Rossville and also in Fort Wayne. She attended school in Rossville and Delphi. On August 12, 1944 she married Charles E. Remaly at Pyrmont, Ind. She worked at Archway Cookies in Fort Wayne and from 1977-1988 at Indiana Veterans' Home.
She is survived by her son, Michael A. (Patsy) Remaly of Columbia City; 2 granddaughters, 4 great grandchildren and special friends, Scott and Gayle Reed and family. She was preceded in death by her husband on June 8, 1973 and her parents.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 6 to 7 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Memorial donations may be made in honor of Mrs. Sheets to donor's choice.
