Brenda Layne Rogers Hanson, 63 of Springhill, Louisiana passed away on Friday, July 27, 2012 at her home in Springhill.
She was born on June 15, 1949 in Magnolia, Arkansas. She was a retired pharmacy tech at Robertson's Family Pharmacy and was a member of the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing the piano and working crossword puzzles and loved her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father T.L. Rogers and a sister Ginger Williamson.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 47 years on August 14th, Dellas Hanson of Springhill; daughter Tiffiny Pitre and husband Brian of Taylor, AR; two sons, Todd Hanson and wife Becky of Emerson, AR, Tim Hanson of Springhill; her mother, Mildred Rogers of Haynesville, LA; two sister, Jimmie Cole and husband Dewayne of McCool, MS, Sandra Triplett and husband Danny of Haynesville; and five grandchildren, Zack Hanson, Colby Pitre, Madison Pitre, Zoe Hanson, and Jacob Pitre.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 10:00 am at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel in Springhill with Chaplin Buster Bailey, and Bro. Danny Triplett officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Springhill. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, 1 Children's Way, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202-3591.
Pallbearers will be Pete Reddin, Doug Hanson, Eric Talley, Jason Talley, Raymond Robertson, and Jimmy Toms. Honorary pallbearers will be John Jackson and Chad Hanson.
The family would like to thank Agape Hospice, Schumpert Cancer Treatment Center, Dr. Chintapalli and attending nurses for the compassion and care given to Brenda.
