Steven Lynn Tucker, 52, of Desdemona, peacefully passed away from pancreatic cancer Monday, June 9, 2014, with his family by his side.

Steve entered into this life May 23, 1962, in Abilene to Robert Dale and Dolores Creek Tucker. He married the love of his life, Brenda Scitern, February 24, 1989, in Stephenville.

Steve moved to Desdemona from Monahans, Texas, in 1978. He held a variety of jobs over the years and was self-employed as a farmer for the last few years. He enjoyed gardening, watching NASCAR, baseball and football. Steve had an immense amount of love for all children. His love for his only grandchild, Makenna, was beyond description. She was the center of his world and more. Steve was always his happiest when he could spend time with his family and many close friends. He has left an eternal impact on those who knew him and he will be dearly missed by many.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 25 years, Brenda Scitern Tucker; son, Nathan Tucker and Linsey Sanders and their daughter, Makenna Tucker; sister, Jamie Mathis and husband, Terry; brother, Scott Tucker and wife, Michele; mother-in-law, Ina Smith and husband Johnny; sisters-in-law, Nita Auvenshine and husband, Eddie, and Amy Johnston; brother-in-law, Kevin Scitern and wife, Amber; numerous nieces and nephews; other extended family; and a host of loving friends.

Steve has gone on to join his parents, Robert and Dolores Tucker; brother, Randall Tucker; and father-in-law, Gerald Scitern.
