Coffeyville -- Tonya E. Kennedy, 50, of Coffeyville, died Sunday morning, February 29, 2004, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Colonial Chapel with Dr. Dan Ferguson officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Argonia Cemetery in Argonia.

The family will greet visitors from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kennedy was born Dec. 16, 1953 in Wellington, the daughter of Earley F. and Helen (Medlam) Olmstead. She grew up in the Argonia area and graduated from Argonia High School in 1971. She went on to earn a bachelor's degree in microbiology from Pittsburg State University in 1975.

She worked in the Kansas City area until moving to Coffeyville in 1981. She was currently working for Greenbush as a teacher's aide at the LINC school in Coffeyville.

She married Dale Duane Kennedy on Nov. 28, 1981 in Coffeyville, and he survives at the home.

Mrs. Kennedy was a den mother and Cub master.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Andrew Kennedy, Thomas Kennedy, and Daniel Kennedy, all of Coffeyville; her father, Earley Olmstead, Argonia; two brothers, Robert Olmstead, Fort Dodge, and Harold Olmstead, Wichita; and a half-brother, Jack Olmstead, Garfield, Ark.
