Lara Ames, 37, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, and friend passed away June 6, 2014, in Nampa, Idaho, surrounded by family members after a courageous two-year battle with colon cancer.

Lara was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Feb. 4, 1977, the second child of Michael and Linda Cawley. She was joined by a second brother, Matthew, in 1978. Her older brother is Eric Cawley. She married Austin Ames, son of Marlin and Jill Ames of Arco, Idaho, on June 3, 2000, in Stanley, Idaho. They have two children, Abigail (9) and Aiden (7).

A memorial service was held held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14 at Capitol City Christian Church, 615 N. 9th St. in Boise.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lara Ames Memorial Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank or a tribute in Lara's name to www.stupidcancer.org, an organization near and dear to Lara's and Austin's heart.
