Anna Mae Harris Gibbs, 68, of the 35000 block of U.S. Highway 264, died Nov. 23, 2005, at her home. Born in Swan Quarter Oct. 4, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Jabie and Thelma Gaskill Harris. She was the widow of Charles Gilbert Sr. She and her husband owned and operated the C. Gilbert Gibbs Hardware Store and Dark Wood Farms in Engelhard. A funeral will be held at the gravesite in Amity Methodist Church Cemetery at 3 p.m. Saturday. Elder Johnny Ray Gardner will officiate. Surviving are two sons, Gregory C. Gibbs and Charles G. Gibbs Jr., both of Engelhard; a daughter, Regina A. Gibbs of Engelhard; three brothers, Hurley Harris of Swan Quarter, James N. Harris of Engelhard and Walter Leland Gibbs of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, Ragan K. Gibbs, Deanna M. Gibbs, Charles Walter Gibbs and Waylon P. Gibbs. The family will receive friends at the home. Arrangements are by Bryan Funeral Service, Swan Quarter.
