On June 5, 2014, the world lost an honorable man, Joseph L. Padjen.

He was born January 13, 1928 (Friday the 13th) in Midvale, Utah to Ivan and Anna Rukavina Padjen.

Joe married Katie Kosovich on January 20, 1951 in Midvale, Utah.

He served honorably in the Navy during WWII and was the kindest man in the world and never said no to anyone. Joe will never be forgotten.

Survived by his sons, Steven Padjen and Michael (Sue) Padjen; daughter, Jody, and most beloved son-in-law, Kirk Hortin; brother, George Padjen; sisters-in-law, Angie Padjen and Ann Dahl; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Katie; infant daughter, Mary; brothers, Nick, John, Lee, and Matt; sister, Pat Whitehead, and her husband, Don; and sisters-in-law, Ginny, Wilma, and Carol.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Garden Terrace for their loving care of Joe.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 in the Midvale City Cemetery, 450 West 7500 South.
