ARAPAHOE -- Paul G. Gehring, 88, died Saturday (Jan. 21, 2006) at C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Arapahoe.

He was born June 18, 1917, in Gosper County to Charles J. and Amelia (Hinz) Gehring. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a farmer. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe and VFW Post No. 9357 of Holbrook.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Erna Bergman; and four brothers, Bill, Eddie, Gordon and George.

Survivors include two sisters, Bertha Monter of Arapahoe and Myrtle Hain of North Hollywood, Calif.

Services will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe with the Rev. David Otten officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at the Arapahoe Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home in Arapahoe and Wednesday, prior to services, at the church.
