EWING TOWNSHIP - James Alfred Reed Sr., 88, of Ewing Township, died Thursday at the Masonic Home in Burlington.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. He worked for the NJDOT in Ewing for 50 years, retiring as senior inspector. He was a member of Trenton- Cyrus Lodge #5 F&AM in Pennington.
Son of the late Melville and Laura Hann Reed and husband of the late Etta C. Reed, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James A. Jr. and Sharon M. Reed of Berkeley Springs, WV; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joan A. and Linn Jones of Germantown, OH and Judith A. and Lawrence W. Katona of Ewing Township; four grandchildren, Jeffrey and James Taylor, Tracey Katona and Stacey Vannozzi; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11 a.m. at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington, with the Rev. William A. McQuoid, pastor of the Pennington Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Lawrenceville.
Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home; Masonic Services begin at 7:30 p.m.
