Robert Allen Salyer, 64, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014 at his home. He was a former Art Professor at the University of Kentucky and Clinch Valley College.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Jane Perry Salyer; his father, J.J. Salyer and a brother, Jimmy Salyer.
Surviving are a son, Justin Salyer of Wise, VA; his mother, Aileen Salyer of Wise, VA; a sister, Diane Salyer Begley and husband Bob of Wise, VA; a nephew, Robert Kevin Begley; a niece, Cristy McNutt; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Robert Allen Salyer will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Pastor Cliff Bowman officiating.
