Mr. Alden was born in Connecticut, and moved to this place when a youth, and
this has always been his home. He had been a member of the Taberg Baptist
Church fifty years, and much ot the time held the position of deacon, and at
the time of his death was one of the trustees. He was one of the foremost
in organizing the Prohibition movement in this town, and had been a faithful and
zealous worker in that cause. He leaves, besides the widow, one daughter, Mrs.
Harvey Price, and two step-sons, Henry Davis of .Utica and Luther Davis of Pulaski; also one daughter, Mrs. Fred Barnard of Rome. He was 77 years old. The funeral was attended at the late residence Monday afternoon.
