Ethel G. Judson, (age 88( a resident of the Iowa Lutheran Home in Madrid passed away Wednesday, June 18, 1969.

Mrs. Judson was born April 1st, 1881, at Mount Ayr, Iowa, to Day and Paroda Keller Dunning, pioneer Ringgold County residents. She attended the State University of Iowa and the Simpson College Conservatory of Music. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority for over sixty years.

She was married to Jesse E. Judson in 1904. They moved to Redfield, Iowa in 1908, where Mr. Judson operated the Judson Clothing Store. Mrs. Judson was an instructor of violin and was the director of the Methodist Sunday School and the Redfield Community orchestras.

She moved to Boone in 1942, following the death of her husband. She was a life long member of the Methodist Church and was a member of the Berean Sunday School Class. In 1951, she moved to Cedar Rapids where she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. D. J. Attey, until she entered the Iowa Lutheran Home at Madrid in October, 1966.

Surviving are her two daughters, Mrs. D. J. Attey (Sarabelle) of Solon, Iowa, and Mrs. Harold L. Fisher (Alice), five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, three sisters and one brother.

Services were held at the Stark-Welin Chapel at 11 a.m. Friday, June 20, with Rev. Gerald La Motte, pastor of the United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the East Linn Cemetery in Redfield, Iowa.
