Clinton Joseph Wood, 88 of Eldon, Missouri passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at Lake Regional Health Systems in Osage Beach, Missouri. On June 3, 1925 he was born in Bagnell, Missouri the son of the late Joseph Sampson & Daphne (Wilson) Wood. On May 17, 1945 in Kansas City, Kansas he was united in marriage to Natholee (Vernon) Wood who preceded him in death on February 6, 2007. Survivors, Sons, Dennis Wood of Tempe, AZ; Steve Wood of Eldon, MO. Four Grandchildren, Roger Wood of Phoenix, AZ; Mandy Koleszar of Gilbert, AZ; Susan Wood of Tempe, AZ; Nicole Wood of Eldon, MO. Five Great Grandchildren, Bennett, Collin, Burke, Johnny & Justin. Sister, Margaret Alexander of Eldon, MO. A Brother, Gene Wood & a Sister, Flora Cain preceded him in death. Clinton served in the United States Navy. He was employed with Wood's Radio & TV Repair in Eldon, MO for forty-two years before his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eldon, MO serving as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 3, 2014 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Eldon, MO with Dennis Wood, Rev. David White & Rev Carl Curtis officiating. Interment will follow at the Eldon City Cemetery with Full Military Honors provided by the Eldon VFW Post #2442. Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, MO.
