WARREN -- Frank E. Beard, 67, of Rye (Cleveland County) died February 7,1998, at Bradley County Hospital. Born July 28, 1930, in Drew County, he was a son of the late Bishop Beard and Elvie Martin Beard. He was a security guard for B & B Corporation and a Methodist.
Survivors include, his wife, Betty Francis Beard of Rye; three sons, Tommy Wayne Beard, Paul Beard and Ricky Edward Cranford, all of Poyen (Grant County); three daughters, Elvie Lynn Bates of Monticello, Sherri Daine
Clinton of Pine Bluff and Betty Charlene Brown of Morrilton; a brother, J.B. Beard of Monticello; three sisters, Eddie Mae Riviere of Wilmar (Drew County), Alice Mae Kelly of Berea, Kentucky and Lucille Gavin of Rye; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Larry Doggett officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery in Drew County.
